When you have a stable job but things are not going your way, or you are not financially progressing fast enough, what could be your options? When it’s a choice between walking the path of self-employment and keeping your job, would you take the leap of faith?
“Financial freedom” is defined differently for every individual. Furthermore, a person’s exposition for financial autonomy may evolve over time. But one thing is common to many of us: the desire to attain and sustain financial freedom. The question is, what are the actions a person should take in order to achieve such status?
Jessica Moorhouse is with us on today’s episode of The His & Her Money Show, to talk to us about how she came upon her definition of “financial freedom” and how blogging helped pave the way to actualize it.
Jessica’s goals and dreams evolved as she got older, and she strived and worked hard to complete such goals… at the expense of having less time for herself. Despite achieving her goals Jessica felt she would rather have less money in exchange for the gift of time. Jessica eventually quit her job and committed to full-time blogging–a bold move from being a company employee, to an entrepreneur.
Jessica may have taken an action that may seem scary to some people. But Jessica made careful considerations, crunched the numbers, and prepared herself financially, mentally, and emotionally before embarking on her journey to self-employment. With her experience, Jessica shares her knowledge and wisdom for people to overcome the fears of changing the status quo into a more equitable living.
Jessica is all about teaching people about money, life, and balance. She contributes to the public via her articles and blogs, her podcasts.
