Building wealth…you hear about it, but what does it actually mean? For the most part, it’s the process of bringing in money today for the future, such as financial freedom and building that nest egg for retirement.
There are quite a few misconceptions about this, but the most popular one is this: Don’t I already have to be rich to build wealth? Absolutely not! It doesn’t take a six-figure salary to get on the right track to building long-term wealth, and we’ve got the facts to prove it!
On today’s episode of The His & Her Money Show, we’ve got Danny Kofke in the house to talk about how to build wealth without a six-figure salary. Danny currently teaches special education and his wife Tracy is a teacher part-time.
For eight years, they lived on Danny’s single school teacher salary while Tracy raised their two daughters, and by doing so, they kick-started their journey to financial freedom. How? Keep listening and find out!
Danny hasn’t been to a financial class in his life, but he’s had some amazing teachers. His parents and grandmother instilled important lessons in him while he was growing up, and he’s carried those over into adulthood in spectacular ways.
Back when he and his wife spent two years teaching overseas in Poland, they had firsthand experience with some pretty intense saving, which, unbeknownst to them, ended up setting the stage for living frugally and happily, so that raising two kids on a $42,000 salary wasn’t such a sharp transition.
The words “get rich quick” doesn’t instill a lot of confidence, but Danny is passionate about the slow and steady approach to building long-term wealth and getting to be exactly where you need to be, whenever you get there! And with the right goals and disciple, it will definitely happen!
