The purpose is something all of us desire and need because without it we lose sight of our goals and motivation. It’s not easy to start all over again or re-evaluate ourselves as to where we are right now and how it can change. How do we gain purpose and stay focused and dedicated to the path lies before us?
We lose sight of our dreams, our hopes, and our visions!
In this episode of The His & Her Money Show, we have a special guest, Chrystal Evans Hurst, who has learned the way to stay motivated and get back on the path that leads to greatness. We often lose sight of our purpose, and once we do, we no longer remain focused on ourselves.
Chrystal has been a mother since the age of 19 and remained focused on being the best mom possible. This did not require her to be a stay-at-home m0m, as she decided to take another step on her life path. Upon meeting various people who have struggled with making decisions, Chrystal developed a philosophy; we can get better at making decisions by making decisions.
A method used to stay true to ourselves is thinking of our future and what do we want for ourselves. We also need to think about what keeps us connected to what we want; what keeps us connected to our family, health, and jobs in order to continue being true to our identity. We can also stay connected and true by having open communication as our dynamics are ever-changing, and by understanding that we are on the same team: husband and wife, mother and child, boss and employee.
Chrystal talks about ground zero, the place we can look to if we are out of balance. Ground zero is someplace from where we can build up our lives, like reading; if there is no time to do so, then the balance is off. But it is important to understand that balance will never be still and that life is in constant flux. We often become stressed from the small stuff; if you are worried about cooking dinner, it can be solved by cooking a meal in the morning and throwing it in the crockpot or slow cooker to be ready when you get home.
